The construction of Site C dam’s Generating Station and Spillways (GSS) will create up to 1,600 jobs at the peak of construction in 2020 and 2021. The large majority of jobs will be labour and trade positions. A variety of staff position will also be available during the life of the project.

The Site C project is located in the Peace region of BC, 7 km southwest of Fort St. John. It is also within close proximity to the following communities:

  • Chetwynd – 138 km
  • Tumbler Ridge – 170 km

Work Rotations, Accommodations, and Flight Hubs

AFDE is committed to providing opportunities for local residents of the Peace region and BC. For employees working on a fly-in/fly-out basis, the following benefits will be provided:

  • 14/7 day rotation (please note that this rotation may vary between positions)

The hotel-like camp accommodations at the Site C project are state of the art and feature:

  • Private room and bathroom
  • Buffett-style meals to suit a variety of diets
