AFDE Partnership

AFDE Partnership is a group of four construction companies building the Generating Station and Spillways (GSS) Civil Works portion of the Site C dam. The partnership consists of global and local leaders in complex infrastructure construction: Aecon, Flatiron, Dragados, and EBC.

BC Hydro awarded the GSS Civil Works contract for the Site C project to AFDE Partnership in March 2018. The key components of the contact include the generating station (also called the powerhouse) and penstocks, spillways and power intakes, and related ancillary construction work. Aecon

Flatiron

Dragados

Established in 1941, Dragados is the construction arm of the ACS Group. As a major international contractor, Dragados has specialized in complex and challenging projects, such as the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of dams, powerhouses, hydroelectric structures, railroads, highways, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure around the world.

Dragados is currently involved in the delivery of more than $16 billion of infrastructure projects across Canada. In BC, Dragados is nearing the completion of the rehabilitation works on BC Hydro’s Ruskin Dam. The company has built over 250 hydro projects worldwide and considers the hydro sector to be one of its key strengths and core competency.

EBC
