AFDE Employees Step up!

Anndrea Kellestine and Lee Reid dropped off over $500 worth of Feminine Hygiene products, as well as an additional $200 in cash from the Survey department.  Anndrea took the time to educate her coworkers on the need and then….took them shopping!

AFDE Employees came forward and requested that we provide some coordination so that they could support local charities.

Once again, we were able to bring a load of goods to the Women’s Resource Centre.  A simple request went out to help fill their “needs” list (groceries & other essential items) or donate cash.  AFDE employees went shopping at local groceries and pharmacies to fill our Christmas trailer with food and essential items, and then topped it off with a significant cash donation.  Thank you to everyone – AFDE employees have “Dam” big hearts!

In addition to the drive supporting the Women’s Resource Society, we raffled off this Lego Bulldozer which was supplied by Finning – the raffle raised $5,750.  The draw was held on December 10th, and broadcast on Facebook live.  Jennie will make sure the money gets to where it is needed most!

Finally, a big shout-out to the Ironworkers at Nucor Harris Rebar.  They were able to collect $2,300.00 to sponsor a family of 6 through FSJ Women’s Resource Society.

Amy from Harris is an amazing shopper and was able to get everything on their lists…..plus a few special treats.
